Report content

Tell us about content or behaviour that is illegal or breaks our rules. A photo reported as showing someone under 18, as posted without the consent of the person in it, or for nudity is removed at once, when you report the photo itself: use the Report photo link under it, or give the photo's own address below. Other reports about minors, non-consensual content or trafficking hide the content immediately while we review it (target: within 24 hours). Club and naturist-place listings are never taken down on a single report.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 (US) or 112 (EU) first. You can report without an account. We will confirm receipt by e-mail and tell you what we decided. You can report child sexual abuse or exploitation, or someone under 18, without giving any contact details (we then cannot tell you the outcome). Please do not send us copies of abusive images of children — just the link.

What happens next

  • We confirm receipt by e-mail (if you gave one).
  • Photos reported as showing someone under 18, as posted without consent, or for nudity are removed at once (when the photo itself is reported). A trained person reviews every other report, and every report about someone under 18: critical reports within 24 hours, others within 72 hours (our targets).
  • We tell you our decision by e-mail and, except for reports about photos, how to ask us to look again if you disagree. The member concerned receives a statement of reasons and, except for decisions about photos, can appeal.
  • Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to NCMEC and preserved as the law requires.
